Chief Commercial Officer

As a member of the Executive Directors Group the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) leads the strategic and operational commercial development of Chisholm, working closely with the Executive team and under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and in accordance with Chisholm’s strategic plan, vision and mission. The role significantly contributes to the achievement of Chisholm’s Commercial Plan, which is one of five Operational Plans that underpin our Strategic Plan and create the foundations for our success.

This position identifies appropriate business opportunities to drive growth across all sectors of Chisholm’s commercial businesses by leading, developing and managing commercial activities to maximize the lnstitute's sustainability, differentiation and increase reputation and market share.

This position is located at the Dandenong Campus, and is expected to travel to all Chisholm campuses as well as domestically and internationally as required by the role. The incumbent is a key and active member of the Executive Director’s Group, providing leadership, expertise and influence across all aspects of Chisholm's commercial portfolios both locally and internationally.


Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in commercial performance and opportunities, as well as senior leadership and management of people. In particular, demonstrated experience nurturing, developing and coaching staff to adopt excellence, a strong student/customer centric approach and supporting across Institute teams to deliver on Chisholm’s Commercial Plan and strategies.

You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders in a highly collegiate manner. With an eye for detail, you will be organised and comfortable working across multiple projects concurrently. Resilience and strategic thinking will favourably position you for success in this role.

We are seeking candidates that have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated ongoing professional development
  • Experience in senior leadership and management in a large and complex organisation
  • Ability to grow and sustain commercial performance
  • Successful procurement experience in dealing with complex commercial negotiations and contracts

Desirable but not essential:
  • Experience in leading within post-secondary education sector
